This project was born out of necessity, but it turned out so good! This homeowner unfortunately experienced a bit of water in their basement and so it was necessary for them to remodel. The biggest thing for them was that they wanted the space to be transitional because they weren’t ready to remodel the upstairs quite yet and they didn’t want it to look like two completely different homes.
We, alongside Avalon Construction and Design, had a little bit of a challenge in trying to blend the original style of the home while keeping it fresh and updated. The original aesthetic of the basement was dark with mustard yellow/gold and red/maroon accents. Our goal - brighten it up! In a future post we will detail the complete before and after, but for now take a sneak peak at the final result.
