Well hello there - it’s definitely been a little while since we have been on here and so much has happened. As a two woman team we have been busy working on some really fun projects - some of which are in the final stages. The Hannaford was one of those projects; a full home remodel. This home was yellow - and when I say yellow I mean literally everything from the exterior to the interior was yellow. This client brought us in to give our opinions on design decisions as well as cabinet work and we are so pleased with how it turned out. Take a look!
The kitchen had this really awesome green cabinet color mixed with the rich warm wood of the island made this area the star of the home. BUT, everything around it was yellow. We brightened it up with the backsplash and wall paint and balanced it all out of black and nickel finishes.
Right off the kitchen is what was the eat in kitchen area which we changed to a loungey space. We envisioned this space as a place to enjoy your coffee in the morning or have a glass of wine. Sooo, we added a wet bar which was the perfect addition.
Just beyond the lounge is the kitchen dining area. The room is almost a perfect square so we thought a large round table would be a nice complement.
Next up, the family room. We really wanted this space to feel homey - comfortable. This client has young boys and needed the space to look nice and put together, but family friendly. The dark furniture allowed us to go really light everywhere else in the space which we feel helped us achieve that look.
The foyer and the office were the last two major areas that we worked on the first floor. The foyer is a beautiful two story and really just needed a fresh coat of paint and some decor and lighting. We love dark offices, so the office we painted in Benjamin Moore Kendall Charcoal and even painted the trim for a more dramatic look.
Lastly we updated both of the powder baths on the main level. The one bathroom was quite small so we left that bright and white. The other had no windows, so we thought a pretty neutral wallpaper would liven it up a bit.
